OTTERY ST MARY SCHOOL SPORTS PARTNERSHIP
FAIR PLAY TROPHY RESULTS
YR 3/4 MULTI SKILLS FESTIVAL
AUTUMN TERM 2017
Points awarded according to Teamwork, Respect, Excellence, Determination, Courage and Equality
The event was held over 2 weeks to enable all schools to take part.
Children undertook a series of 6 multiskill stations where they had to use different skills and different activities based around football, basketball, hockey and tennis. There was lots of opportunities to practise throwing and catching along the way too. They had to work effectively as a team to get the highest points at their station, which involved being ready for their go at the right time and working quickly, but with accuracy. Points were awarded as above based upon the teams demonstrating the above values. that are prevalent in their schools and taken from Olympic and sporting values.
Each school split their classes to work as a team to represent their school for these Fairplay points. Each team would be on a different station and on that station were sometimes again divided again into smaller teams to give plenty of opportunity to demonstrate their skills and teamwork. Each schools team points were then calculated together and then divided according to the number of teams they had.
Results of the event are as follows:
1st place 194.3 pts Payhembury
2nd place 180 pts Feniton
3rd place 177.6 pts West Hill
4th place 165.5 pts Ottery St Mary
5th place 116* Tipton St John (however only 1 set of results were given in)
